Our mission

MediaSpecs is the database for media specialists in Belgium and France. Our mission is to facilitate work for all participants in the world of media. Since 2008, MediaSpecs has been media planning’s unique, central source of information, providing structure and transparancy within a complex media landscape.

First Time Right is our motto: having access – from the start – to the right and most recent information to create a media plan leads both to large time gains as well as to smoother selling and buying.

MediaSpecs is a Belgian company working with a steady core of employees. We have no ties to media companies or agencies. Since January 2025, MediaSpecs is part of Adwanted Group, an international company offering innovative solutions for ad inventory management, media planning, content distribution and data analysis.

Who is it for?

All media, publishers and sales houses have all of their information referenced in the database. Through a yearly subscription, media agencies, advertising agencies, PR agencies and advertisers are given access to the search engine and can create and export media plans.

MediaSpecs does not interfere in any transactions. We focus completely on organising, structuring and providing information, also through API connections. ‘Data as a service’, in other words.

How do we work?

Following market demand, we have adopted MediaSpecs Next Level since 2021. Using our brand new software, which is now more intuitive than ever, we offer an enriched database with more detailed information, and more search and export features. As such, we are a hands-on usage tool offering granular data, instrumental both to advertising campaigns as well as to the creation of press lists.

All for the media community

In September 2025, MediaSpecs News became The Media Leader Belgium. While the MediaSpecs site previously offered news and insights about the media sector, all editorial content has now migrated to The Media Leader Belgium. There, you can find all archived articles as well as analyses and interviews on both the Belgian and international media market.

This evolution is part of Adwanted Group’s development, aiming to provide a more comprehensive and dynamic information platform while maintaining the same editorial quality and a strong focus on local issues.
