Australia Ranks First in Ad Spend per Person, Norway Tops the U.S. in Digital Ad Spend per Person

Australia is the no.1 country worldwide in terms of ad spending per person. With estimated spending of $582 per capita, Australia takes the top spot in front of the United Kingdom and Norway.

 

The United States may be the largest ad market in the world in terms of total spending, however, when accounting for population size, marketers in other countries spend even more to reach consumers. According to the figures in eMarketer`s latest Global Media Intelligence Report, produced in collaboration with Starcom MediaVest Group, the United States only ranks fourth in terms of ad spending per capita.

 

Norway is the surprising no. 1 in the world in terms of digital ad spending. Advertisers in the scandinavian country are expected to spend $209 per internet users this year. The U.S. ranks second with spending of $201 per internet user.
